The Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism in partnership with the government of the United States will launch the Lake Ngami Management Plan on April 11, 2014 at Sehithwa village.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism Mr Neil Fitt and an official from the US are expected to perform the official launch.
Visit by the Botswana Gender Affairs Department to MEASURE Evaluation at the Carolina Population Center, University of North Carolina Staff from the Government of Botswana's (GAD) Gender Affairs Department came to MEASURE Evaluation to continue working on the development and implementation of a pilot referral system for care and support provided to gender-based violence survivors in two areas of the country.

The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce that the U.S. government, in partnership with KNCV, the Royal Dutch Tuberculosis Foundation and the African Society for Laboratory Medicine, will host a regional training workshop on an exciting new technology designed to improve testing for tuberculosis (TB). This regional training workshop for the latest in TB technology, CepheidXpert® MTB/RIF (Xpert), will be held from July 23 – 25 at the GICC housed in the Grand Palm Hotel. U.S. Ambassador Michelle Gavin will provide opening remarks on Tuesday July 23 at 9 am at the workshop which is expected to attract experts from 11 countries. United States Chargé d’Affaires Michael Murphy will visit Maun on March 7 – 8 for a series of official events, focusing on conservation-related projects and other U.S.-supported activities in the area. Chargé Murphy will present keynote remarks at a ceremony to celebrate the launch of three rural development and conservation grants in the Ngamiland Region. The event will take place at the Maun Lodge on March 8 at 9:30 am. The press is invited to attend.
