ICT Hub je dvogodišnji projekat koji radi na unapređenju radne snage, koji je nastao udruživanjem snaga dve uspešnije kompanije iz Srbije i USAID-a, sa ciljem identifikovanja i podržavanja inovativnih ideja u IT industriji pružanjem tehničke podrške novim preduzetnicima i kompanijama da svoje ideje razviju u izvodljive projekte.
The ICT Hub is a two-year USAID Global Development Alliance between two successful Serbian companies and USAID. The Hub’s objective is to identify and advance innovative IT concepts by providing technical support to budding entrepreneurs and companies to develop their ideas into feasible projects.
This project is a response to the large potential identified in young, highly skilled individuals and talented software developers who need technical support and knowledge to complete their projects and grow as entrepreneurs.
The USAID-funded Road Sector Sustainability Program (RSSP) provides technical assistance to the Afghan government to improve the management, financing and efficiency of road operation and maintenance (O&M). Afghanistan’s 42,000 kilometers of roads are important for social and economic growth. The $21.4 million dollar project started in August 2014 and is scheduled to end in August 2017.
Recent estimates indicate only 30 percent of Afghans have access to electricity. USAID’s Power Transmission Expansion and Connectivity project is working to increase access by expanding and improving Afghanistan’s electric transmission system and strengthening the Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat national electric utility’s ability to manage, operate and maintain the national power system.
The Faculties of Higher Education (FoHE) Program supports the Ministry of Higher Education’s goal to improve the quality of education for future teachers at Afghan universities by providing new facilities and infrastructure.
The main focus of the six-year, $10 million program is the construction of two-story buildings at six university campuses around Afghanistan. The program began in May 2008 and ended in December 2014.
The EQUALS Program provides a full range of long-term and quick-response architectural and engineering services, quality assurance services and other logistical and technical support to USAID infrastructure projects in Afghanistan. The $126 million program began in May 2011 and ends in April 2016.
EQUALS helps ensure that USAID infrastructure projects in the energy, transportation, water, and sanitation sectors are completed according to established engineering standards.
