Program Overview
“Youth Voices for Community Action” is a 30-month project with total estimated cost of $1,120,000. It will directly target 360 youth between the ages 18-25 from six urban centers in the West Bank and Gaza- Hebron, Jerusalem/Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, Jenin and Gaza City and will include communities from neighboring villages. The project will empower participants to become actively involved in resolving issues of conflict within their own communities.
Goals
“Youth Voices for Community Action” aims to empower and create a cadre of Palestinian youth who use nonviolent approaches to address conflicts within their own communities.The project aims to accomplish the following:

Establish a cadre of 72 youth “nonviolence ambassadors”;

Produce local level context analysis reports and an orange paper to share with local/national leaders and institutions, as well as international organizations;

Conduct three national level meetings to provide platforms for youth to voice their concerns and issues of conflict to their leaders;

Establish a network of nonviolent youth in the West Bank and Gaza, with experience implementing $90,000 worth of up to 30 creative nonviolence projects
