Fighting Global Hunger with Innovation and University Partnerships – Did you know that earlier this week, USAID Administrator Dr. Rajiv Shah delivered a keynote address at the annual meeting of the Association of Public and Land-grant University (APLU) in San Francisco, California? Dr. Shah highlighted USAID's partnership with U.S. universities, and challenged them to "push the envelope" on science, technology, and innovation to reduce poverty, hunger, and disease in developing countries. APLU Annual Meeting has become the premier event for public university leaders to share opinions on emerging topics, gain valuable professional development, and meet colleagues from across the nation.
