New Developments at USAID

August 27, 2010

Empowering Moroccan Youth Leaders Did you know that USAID is helping young people in Morocco build a better future for their country? This week more than 160 people age 18 to 35 came from across Morocco to the capital, Rabat, to exchange ideas on civic engagement, entrepreneurship, employability and education. During each session of this third annual Ramadan Youth Outreach Conference, they've talked about how they can actively engage in society and turn ideas into real projects. One participant said during a breakout session, "I don't need to wait for someone else to make things happen. If I start to make things happen myself, the others will follow me." See what a few more of these dynamic leaders have to say!
