This Interim Update announces the FY 2009 open season application period for the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). The Attachment to this Interim Update, FY-2009 Student Loan Repayment Program Implementation Guidelines, contains comprehensive information about the Program, its requirements, and eligibility criteria. These Agency policies and procedures will be published in ADS 466, Student Loan Repayment Program, in the near future.

Series 400 Interim Update #09-04 - Extension of Foreign Service Tours

This Interim Update announces that as of the date below, Foreign Service Tour extensions will be the exception and not the norm. Accordingly, the language regarding tour extensions in ADS 436 is being modified. The new material merely modifies procedures already contained in ADS 436, which already authorize the head of HR in making decisions on tour extensions for FS Officers, both in Washington and overseas.

USAID Missions must assess risk at least annually to determine when financial audits of foreign for profit organizations are required. In addition, a close-out audit must be performed for all awards in excess of $500,000.
