The four-year Pakistan Children Television (PCTV) Project is producing Sim Sim Hamara, Pakistan's first home-grown educational children's show which is based on the internationally beloved Sesame Street program.
This project aims to develop the language, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities of children and promote positive attitudes among young Pakistani audiences through television and other media programs and outreach materials. The expected outcomes of the project are the development of literacy and numeracy skills, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking of children, and greater awareness among children of the importance of educating girls and other marginalized or hard-to-reach children and recognition that these children can excel at school.
