Project Description
This project funds the implementation of the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) to prevent and reduce excess maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity and pave the way for the provision of basic and comprehensive reproductive health services. The project targets 50 percent of the 6 million displaced people in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan who are in need of immediate humanitarian assistance. The project aims to improve access and disseminatekey messages related to reproductive health services, including basic and emergency obstetric care, care for sexually transmitted infections, the prevention and treatment of HIV and gender-based violence, and family planning.
Results To Date
• Essential reproductive health products and services provided to about 3 million people, or 50 percent of the displaced population in 12 flood affected districts of Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh.
• Nearly 4,300 reproductive health kits distributed along with 62,00 hygiene kits and 44,500 newborn kits
