Purpose: Improve the safety, well-being, and development of highly vulnerable girls and boys in Tak Province, Thailand.
Objectives
- Reduce child abuse, exploitation, and neglect
- Provide families have knowledge and skills on positive parenting, peaceful conflict resolution, and family resilience
- Train community advocates to promote child well-being in communities
- Establish child protection responses in communities
- Educate children, families, and communities available services and means to access them

- Ensure that children have access to basic services and are supported by a comprehensive child protection system
- Expand the existing network to include all relevant stakeholders
- Establish a referral and case management system
- Train service providers on basic child protection and provision of child-friendly services
- Train case managers on steps involved in case management
USAID is working in Thailand to improve the safety, well-being, and development of highly vulnerable children in Tak Province, Thailand. The project does so by strengthening all the layers that constitute a functioning child protection system—families (including children), community-based leaders and organizations, national NGOs; and governmental entities. IMPACT seeks tor educe child abuse, exploitation, and neglect. It strives to enable marginalized children to access basic services, and ensures their support through a comprehensive child protection response system. The project brings together CBOs and NGOs, as well as key academic partners and government agencies to better assist and protect vulnerable children displaced from Burma and vulnerable Thai children.
