Country Specific Information - Ethiopia 2011

  • Ethiopia Country Specific Guidance (June 2011) (pdf,259kb)
  • Community Based Rangeland Management: A Manual (pdf,2,048kb)
  • Cap-Admin template (excel,30kb)
  • The support documents referenced throughout this guidance have been circulated to the Food Aid Consultative Group and select items appear on the FFP website. In the unlikely event that a potential applicant has not received any of these documents, the applicant must contact via email Paula Bertolin at pbertolin@usaid.gov or Bridget Ralyea at bralyea@usaid.gov and copy Juli Majernik at jmajernik@usaid.gov

    Additional Information – Friday, December 17, 2010

    1. FFP provided a list of PSNP woredas with the RFA. FFP cannot anticipate revisions that the Government of Ethiopia might make to the list of PSNP woredas. If there is a difference between the list of woredas in the RFA and the list suggested by individual regions, the applicant should use the list recommended by the regional food security office. Revisions to the list do not change FFP’s guidance. The following text is from the guidance:

  • FFP has supported the PSNP since its inception and will continue to do so under the new awards. The primary focus of the new awards will be the distribution of food transfers using Title II food aid commodities, the implementation of public works projects in food- or cash-and-food-designated woredas, and capacity building of host country government counterparts.
  • 2. Also as noted in the guidance:

  • Applicants must obtain letters of support from regional and woreda food security officials in those regions and woredas where the applicant is proposing to work and submit the letters of support with their application.
  • 3. FFP cannot interpret guidance language for potential applicants.

    4. Details concerning complementary funding from the Mission are not known at this time.
