A health worker collects a sputum sample from a local resident at the Gurgaon District TB Center. Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases. Of the world’s estimated 2 billion TB-infected people, 8 million develop active TB each year and 2 million die.
