Global Health Positions: Openings in USAID’s
Bureau for Global Health are periodically posted

NEP Program: The New Entry Professional
(NEP) program is the Agency’s program for bringing
well-qualified applicants into the Agency’s
Foreign Service. USAID’s Foreign Service provides
successful applicants with a career-long system of
rotational
assignments in Washington, D.C., and overseas. Successful
applicants are offered a clear path for planning
their career from the intake level through the most
senior executive positions. More information on USAID’s

What are the basic qualifications needed for employment?
For direct hire civil service career employment,
the minimum requirements are U.S. citizenship and
age 16. Minimum qualifications vary according to
the position and are specified in the vacancy announcement.
Direct hire Foreign Service career positions require
U.S. citizenship at the time of application
and minimum age of 18. Applicants must also be willing
to accept
assignments at any USAID location,
almost all of
which are in Africa, Latin America,
the Caribbean, Asia, the Near East, Eastern Europe,
and the former
Soviet states.
