How can I get a job with USAID?

USAID Web Site: Periodically, the Agency recruits for a limited number of Civil Service (GS) and Foreign Service (FS) positions. Vacancies are posted on the Agency’s Web page at http://www.usaid.gov/careers/.

Global Health Positions: Openings in USAID’s Bureau for Global Health are periodically posted on the Global Health home page at http://www.usaid.gov/our_work/global_health/.

NEP Program: The New Entry Professional (NEP) program is the Agency’s program for bringing well-qualified applicants into the Agency’s Foreign Service. USAID’s Foreign Service provides successful applicants with a career-long system of rotational assignments in Washington, D.C., and overseas. Successful applicants are offered a clear path for planning their career from the intake level through the most senior executive positions. More information on USAID’s NEP program can be found at http://www.usaid.gov/careers/nepanno2.html.

USAID Partners: Applicants can seek employment through a contractor that manages a USAID-funded project. Some projects and contractors are located in the Bureau for Global Health Users’ Guide. They can also be found in the Global Health's Partnership section.

Fellowships are another option for USAID employment. USAID currently has eight fellows programs. They include:
