The Global Climate Change Team


The Global Climate Change Team (GCC Team) is located at USAID headquarters in Washington, D.C. within the Bureau for Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade (EGAT).

The GCC Team has responsibility for a number of functions including field support to USAID Missions, annual reporting, international negotiations, policy development, program management, and technical support for USAID management. The GCC Team provides oversight and support for USAID’s Global Climate Change Program.

Working closely with USAID Mission counterparts as well as technical and regional counterparts at USAID headquarters, the team has GCC pillar backstopping responsibilities (e.g. clean energy, adaptation, sustainable landscapes), other program responsibilities (climate science, capacity building and outreach, REDD+, LEDS) as well as geographic backstopping roles (e.g. Africa, Asia, Middle East, Europe and Eurasia, and Latin America and the Caribbean).
