Robert S. Ross currently serves as the Assistant Inspector General for Management (AIG/M)
at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of Inspector General (OIG), and
has held several positions within OIG since 1992, including acting AIG/M and Chief of the Budget
and Acquisitions Division.
Mr. Ross is responsible for managing the OIG Human Capital Division, the Information Management
Division, the Financial Resources Division, and other general support activities to ensure that
the OIG Washington and regional offices receive the support necessary to accomplish their mission.
Mr. Ross has more than 28 years of federal service. Prior to joining USAID/OIG, Mr. Ross
served as a budget analyst for the U.S. Information Agency's Bureau of Broadcasting in Washington D.C.;
the U.S. Army Materiel Command in Alexandria, Virginia; and U.S. Army Recruiting Command in
Fort Sheridan, Illinois.
Born in Pineville, North Carolina, Mr. Ross grew up in Charlotte. He served in the U.S. Army from
1975 to 1981, during which time he was stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas; Kunsan Air Force Base in Korea;
and Fliegerhorst Kaserne in Hanau, West Germany. He attended Columbia College and is a graduate of
the Department of the Army Comptroller Intern Program and an alumnus of the Federal Executive Institute. |
