On April 3, USAID and the Department of Defense, through PEPFAR, delivered uniforms and soccer equipment to the Mozambican Minister of Defense and Military Football Club, Madjedje. This activity, conducted by PSIunder the HIV prevention program with the military, includes peer education and targets condom distribution. The partnership between the Mozambican Military and the U.S. Ministry of Defense includes launching a new camouflage condom among the military to encourage consistent condom use.  The camouflage condom will be distributed during the soccer games as well as HIV counseling and testing and HIV prevention information and materials. On the occasion, the Mozambican Minister of Defense said, This partnership will translate into victories against HIV and will encourage the soccer team to win the Mozambique national championship!”  So far, Madjedje won their first match with their new equipment and uniforms.
