On April 27, Population Services International (PSI) held a reception at the Fortaleza de Maputo launching three new condom brands specifically developed for the Mozambique market and a CD by 12 well-known Mozambican artists to raise HIV/AIDS prevention awareness. The evening included speeches by Mission Director Todd Amani and the UNAIDS/ Mozambique representative. The CD is part of an ongoing HIV awareness project called Lideres da Malta (Leaders of the Pack), which involves high-profile Mozambicans in the fight against HIV. The Líderes da Malta project is funded by PEPFAR through USAID and co-funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy. The condoms are funded by the Mozambican Government.
