Kevin Armstrong, Deputy Mission Director congratulated sixteen students for their acceptance to the post-graduate course at Eduardo Mondlane University where, in two years, they will acquire a Master’s Degree in Public Health.
USAID’s contributions to improved human resources in the health field through scholarships began in 2008, when the Ministry of Health selected eight students for Master’s courses at Eduardo Mondlane University who are now approximately halfway through their program. In mid 2008, an additional twelve students went through a public competition process to receive scholarships; the twelve students are enrolled in Mozambican and South African Masters’ courses.
