Communication Skills and Documentation training for the disabled

May 25, 2009

A two day training course in written communication skills and documentation was held the week of May 25, 2009 in Beirut.  Fourteen people with physical and visual disabilities benefited from this USAID funded program.  The training will assist these individuals to locate and qualify for jobs. Training included how to prepare a resume, drafting of letters, and techniques for public speaking.  This activity falls under the USAID funded Towards Inclusive Development in Lebanon (TIDIL) program in partnership with Mercy Corps. The goal of TIDIL is to increase the inclusion of persons with disabilities in Lebanon’s social and economic development, with emphasis on those organizations and programs that are funded by USAID.
