On February 18, 2011, USAID's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) will host a Small Business Seminar and Networking Session in the Ronald Reagan Building's Horizon Room from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The morning will consist of presentations from USAID staff and successful small and large business contractors designed to assist small businesses interested in agency contractual opportunities. Topics will include an overview of doing business with USAID, procurement reform, writing successful proposals, small business challenges, and successful teaming strategies between large and small businesses. An opportunity for attendees to meet and network with USAID prime contractors and successful small business partners will follow from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.
The purpose of this event will be to provide educational and networking opportunities for small business participants in attendance. The event is intended for small businesses interested in pursuing contractual opportunities in the international development field, and is not intended for firms specializing in information technology services.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
The OSDBU Procurement Conference is a national conference fostering business partnerships between the Federal Government, its Prime Contractors, and Small, Minority, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Woman-Owned businesses. More than 50 agencies of the Federal Government and their Prime Contractors will be available for one day only at this conference, workshop, and Procurement Matchmaking Forum which will provide information on business opportunities.
