Acquisition & Assistance Policy Directives (AAPDs)
and Contract Information Bulletins (CIBs)

AAPDs serve as official sources for the latest updates in acquisition and assistance (A&A) policy and requirements. AAPDs provide information of significance including, but not limited to, advance notification of changes or implementation of new requirements to A&A regulations and procedures.

NOTE TO THE PUBLIC:

Both Prospective and current contractors and recipients are welcome to view this page for information regarding AAPDs (formerly known as CIBs). Please direct any questions about how an AAPD applies to procurement actions to the responsible Contracting Officer or Agreement Officer. The points of contact listed in each AAPD are not authorized to answer questions related to specific contracts, grants, cooperative agreements or solicitations.

View current AAPDs by:

  • Year issued
  • Subject matter
  • Archive Contains former AAPDs/CIBs that are no longer active.

AAPDs, which were formerly referred to as CIBs, are approved by the Director of the Office of Acquisition and Assistance within USAID’s Bureau for Management. Each directive is issued by subject matter. Occasionally, several subject categories may be indicated on one AAPD if relevant. Information from current AAPDs, will be integrated into the appropriate USAID ADS series (see ADS link) in the future or retired under the Archive section.
