Biography of Ari Alexander
Director, Center for Faith-based and Community Initiatives
Ari Alexander is a Senior Advisor to the Administrator and the Director of the Center for Faith-based and Community Initiatives at the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Previously, Ari was the co-Executive Director of Children of Abraham, an international organization dedicated to the promotion of dialogue between Jewish and Muslim teenagers around the world. Ari completed two Master's degrees in the United Kingdom as a Marshall Scholar: an MA in Comparative Ethnic Conflict from the Queen's University of Belfast and an MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford. His research led Ari to spend time living in Jerusalem, Beirut, and Damascus. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in History. Ari was raised in Providence, Rhode Island.
